License


As I announced first, I finally added one license verification and cancellation system to the kit, to prevent piracy. It's not a uncrackable one, but post release updates will also modify it.

How will you use it then? Quite easy! When you make the download, you will also get a unique serial code for the kit to work! Then, all you have to do is copy it into the core plugin's parameters.

Now, I'm still not quite clear with the terms of use I will have for the kit, but, so far I am certain of this:
You can buy it once per person, and this person, can use this kit, for any or all of their OWN projects. In case of teams, it's also allowed to use as long as the one who paid the kit remains in the team, but, not once they are not part of the team anymore.

Let's say "Harold" buys the kit, and joins the development team "Swordsman". Now, imagine these cases.

1. Harold takes an absense, for whatever reasons, or stops working for the project, for example "RPG Maker town", but he still appears in the credits. This is a valid use of the kit. But wait! "Swordsman" team now makes "RPG Maker city" too! This time, Harold is not part of the team, so the team is not allowed to use the kit!

2. Harold is not productive, and lazes off a lot and he gets kicked off the team. The team is not allowed to use the kit anymore, until another team member buys it!

3. Harold chooses to effectively leave the team. He declares he doesn't want to take part anymore in the project, to the team. Despite this, the team will credit him. The license of the kit, still belongs to Harold, so the team cannot use the kit anymore. Still, Harold can still use the kit for his own projects.

In these cases, Harold can contact me here, to ban the key the team used and get a new one. I'll also ask the team to stop using the product without proper license.

On a side note, I'm thinking of making a free, playable only demo, after I do the full release. What do you guys think?
